Nathan Lane joins 'English Teacher'

With production on Relativity Media's untitled Snow Whitened pic winding lower, thesp Nathan Lane is setting his sights on the completely different project, as he's in discussions to become listed on Julianne Moore and Greg Kinnear in Artina Films' indie comedy ''The British Teacher.'' Veteran TV helmer Craig Zisk (''Weeds'') is making his feature directorial debut using the film, that was compiled by Serta and Stacy Chariton. Moore stars as Linda Sinclair, a higher school British teacher whose existence is upended whenever a former star pupil returns to her small town after failing totally like a playwright in NY. Artina Films' Naomi Despres, Robert Salerno and Matthew Chausse are creating alongside Ben LeClair. Ron Curtis will professional produce the pic, which Kim Fox of Inferno Entertainment is handling worldwide sales for. Production begins the following month in Gotham. Lane, who's presently filming Tarsem's large-budget undertake the Snow Whitened story book alongside Jennifer Aniston, is within discussions to star in and professional produce Douglas McGrath's untitled comedy pilot, which got a greenlight from USA. Series will discover the Tony champion playing an unlucky actor whose Broadway aspirations should be placed on hold when his father's decreasing health forces him revisit his Texas home town.
