eOne sells Nettheim's 'Hunter'

LONDON -- Entertainment You have guaranteed a raft of territory sales for Daniel Nettheim's "The Hunter," which preemed in the Toronto Film Festival a week ago. Following its U.S purchase to Magnolia in the fest, pic seemed to be offered to U.K. (Artificial Eye), Japan (BMS), Canada (eOne), Germany (Ascot Elite), A holiday in greece (Strada), Poultry (Umut Sanat), Bulgaria/Romania (New Films), Belgium (Kino Swiat), Indonesia/Vietnam (PT Parkit), India (Pictureworks) and also the Middle East (ECS Film Distribution). Film is within active discussions for Benelux, Scandinavia and Latin America. The mental drama, toplining Willem Dafoe, Mike Neill and Francis O'Connor, was created by Porchlight Films' Vincent Sheehan ("Animal Kingdom"). It sees Dafoe play a mercenary hired with a bio-tech firm to find an uncommon, possibly extinct animal known as the Tasmanian Tiger within the remote backwoods of Tasmania.
