Terra Novas Allison Miller Joins NBCs Go On, Lauren German Cast In Chicago Fire

EXCLUSIVE: Terra Nova regular Allison Miller has been cast in NBC’s comedy pilot Go On. The single-camera project, written by Scott Silveri and directed by Todd Holland, centers on Ryan (Matthew Perry), an irreverent yet charming sportscaster who, trying to move on from a loss, finds surprising solace from the members of his mandatory support group. Miller, repped by ICM and Thruline, will play Ryan’s quirky assistant. Because of her contractual obligation to Terra Nova, which has her in first position, Miller, who received multiple pilot offers after Fox cancelled the pre-historic drama on Monday, is being billed as a guest star in the pilot for Go On. While Terra Nova co-star Christine Adams, who just booked the ABC pilot Americana, had been released early as her character was not going to continue in Season 2, Miller, along with the rest of the show’s core cast, have not been released as producing studio 20th Century Fox TV is shopping Terra Nova to other networks. (It has had discussions with Netflix) Lauren German has joined the cast of the NBC drama pilot Chicago Fire starring Jesse Spencer. On Wolf Films and Universal TVs action-driven drama about the complex and heroic men and women of the Chicago Fire Department, German will play the all-business and humorless Kay to whom the team reports. German is coming off a major arc on CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 this season.
